Matt BillingsleaLady Antebellum
Since moving to Nashville in the spring of ’05, Matt Billingslea’s immersion in the local scene has yielded a variety of opportunities. Within months, Matt was enjoying a busy freelance schedule including cover gigs, label showcases, national tours and session work. In June ’08, Matt was asked to fill the drum chair with Capitol Recording Artist, Lady Antebellum.
Lady A has enjoyed a fast rise to success. Since inking a deal in April ’07, the group has played over 300 shows enjoying headlining duties in addition toopening for other country acts such as Kenny Chesney and Keith Urban. With an ACM award for Best New Vocal Group, CMA for New Artist of the Year, two Grammy Nominations,two top-5 singles, including their first #1 with “I Run To You”, performances on network television and a very intense tour schedule including sold-out stadiums, arenas and amphitheaters; this is one group that isn’t showing any signs of slowing down.
